The legal boundaries for the use and digitalisation of environmental data for EA will be investigated (WP7). The legal  analysis shall secure, that the project aligns with EU/international and national regulation, when environmental data  is collected, stored and used.  A framework for understanding copyright and IPR laws in future partnerships on the tools and data sharing will be  developed. This will also inform the development of business plans on how DREAMS is going to be commercialised  and brought to the market.  The process of making automatised overviews of environmental data involves potential issues of “black boxing” in  terms of obscuring what data is included/excluded and how data is processed. Therefore, an ethical framework  ensuring transparency and fairness will guide the project.
